The Meet

In 2002 our son attended the summer swimming classes at our local Park and Rec. It had taken me a long time to convince him to give swimming a try. He's always loved the water BUT he had had a horrible experience at a "learn to swim" class I had enrolled him in when he was six. That's another subject - but if they won't let you watch them teach your child how to swim RUN in the other direction! So after all those years, Jaybird finally was learning how to really swim. He loved it so much that I asked him if he'd like to consider the local swim team - the answer was "Yes!" and thus began our swim team adventure.
