It is that time of year again when I begin to think of holiday foods. I guess that's a good thing since Thanksgiving is so close. One of the things I baked last year and got raves was the cookie recipe on the back of the Krusteaz Pumpkin Spice mix. I can not tell you how good these cookies are. They seem to shout holidays but they seem to remind of me Thanksgiving cause all you want to do is gobble gobble. Okay, that was bad! Problem is I can't seem to find the mix this year - trust me I'll keep scouting. My chore job for the family Turkey dinner (Hubby's side) is to bake the pies. I already have request for three different kinds.
Wow! I spy a big pilated woodpecker out the window! I digress...
Jbird still is coughing but is doing much better. Hubby brought home some crud from school and he got rid of his in a couple of days. I had just gotten my flu vaccination so, even though my digestive system felt crummy, I got a mild case. However, Jbird (Eckerds would give him a flu shot due to his age) got a good dose of whatever it was.
I snapped this shot of J and Tango while they were resting out on the back porch. Jbird looks pretty spunky there to me. Of course that could be because he's avoided school work for several days!
Hubby took J out to our new East Hall park. He wanted to get him out in fresh air and sunshine. They tossed the baseball a little. They always makes me tear up because I think of Field of Dreams and the final scene of the movie. Anway, J drove the car to the field and back. He definitely not a typical teen who was born to drive.
I work on my art some. Trying to sort out the next two week's schedule - it's gonna be hairy around here.
Thanks SO much for posting this - I LOVE these cookies and dearly hope Sam's Club carries the mix again this year. Have a blessed day.

I've been looking all year and finally found the Krusteaz Pumpkin Spice mix, but can not find the recipe. Last year I made the cookie dough, put the whole batch on a round pan with the edges that come off and made a giant cookie! It was great. I would like to do it again.
